Fishing in lake Åsnen
To
those who like angling or want to have some nice fishing in a quiet bay
we can recommend lake Åsnen. The area is 150 square kilometers,
and here are several hundreds of islands, some of which bird
sanctuaries in the summer. The average depth in lake Åsnen is 3
meters and there are some deep holes up to 16 meters.

and trolling are good ways to catch pike, pike-perch and perch. In
spring when the pike has spawned it is hungry and an easy catch. Please Note! you are not allowed to catch pike-perch in May.

fish for pike-perch again. Autumn Fishing in August-November. It
is still spinning and trolling for pike and pike-perch, but now the
perch is caught best at jigging. Winter Fishing is in
December-Februari. When the ice holds it is time to drill holes for
jigging.

number of different kinds of fish in lake Åsnen is great: pike,
pike-perch, perch, tench, burbot, eel and some twenty other of white
fish. Common weights pike 3-4 Kilos pike-perch 3 Kilos perch 0,3
Kilos eel 0,5 Kilos.
The number of different kinds of fish makes it a real adventure
for anglers. Imagine setting in a boot angling for pike with a living
bait in the bays or angling for perch with bleak a long the stony
